What is your musical/DJ background?
I have been DJing for around three and half years. During this time, I have developing and gaining more experience behind the decks. Music has always been a big part of my life, and becoming a DJ was something i had wanted for long time.
When did you get into music and how?
My passion for music started when I was very young. Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of becoming a DJ. As I got older; my interest became stronger, and around three a half years ago I decide to take that dream seriously and start DJing.
Why is music/DJing your passion?
DJing is my passion because music allows me to express myself and connect with people in a special way. I love the energy you can create on the dancefloor and the feeling of seeing people enjoying themselves through the music I play. For me, DJing is more than just playing tracks, it is about creating an atmosphere, sharing energy and giving people a great experience.
What music styles do you Play?
I mainly play House, Tech House, Techno and Hard Techno. I enjoy adapting my sets depending on the atmosphere and the crowd, while always keeping my own style and energy.
What Venues/Events have you played in the past?
Over the past three and half years, I’ve had the opportunity to play at events and venues such as Globalparty, Vernissage and Broken in Zermatt. I’m also excited to be playing at Lustre in Braga (Portugal) very soon. Each experience has allowed me to perform for different crowds, improve my skills and continue developing my identity as a DJ.
Who and what are your influences?
My influences come mainly from the electronic music scene. I’m inspired by DJs who know how to read the crowd, build energy and create memorable moments through their sets. Outside of music, I’m influenced by ambition, discipline and the desire to constantly improve and take my career to the next level
What have you achieved so far?
One of my biggest achievements is seeing something that started as a childhood dream become a reality. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, I feel like this is only the beginning.
What is your day job?
I work at the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn
What are your future goals and plans?
My goals and plans, is to keep growing, reach bigger stages and share my music with more people.
What do you think are the biggest challenges you face when DJing?
One of the biggest challenges is reading the crowd and understanding what they need at the right moment. Every crowd and every event is different, so being able to adapt while still staying true to my own style is very important. I also see the pressure to constantly improve and stand out as a challenge, but it motivates me to work harder.
What do you think is the best part about being a DJ?
The best part is the connection with the crowd. There is nothing better than seeing the people enjoying themselves, dancing and feeling the music you are playing. Being able to control the energy of the room and create moments that people will remember is an amazing feeling.
What do you think is the worst part about being a DJ?
The worst part is probably the pressure and the competition that comes with the industry. There is always a need to keep improving, finding new music and proving yourself. It can be challenging, but at the same time, it pushes me to become a better DJ.
What do you think makes a great dj?
For me, a great DJ is someone who knows how to read the crowd, has good music selection and knows how to build energy throughout a set. Technical skills are important, but what really makes the difference is having your own identity, being passionate about what you do and creating a real connection whit the people on the dancefloor.
